Hi, I’m Andrei, a PhD student in Astrophysics and Cosmology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, starting from 2021. I conduct my research under the supervision of Professors Yuval Birnboim and Orly Gnat, focusing on the theoretical study of the physical conditions and evolution of the Interstellar Medium (ISM) and Circum-Galactic Medium (CGM). My work explores the mechanisms that drive multiphase galactic winds and feedback processes, as well as how these winds evolve as they travel from the galactic disk into the surrounding halo. Primarily using simulations, I study the behavior and evolution of cold gas within these outflows. I also actively develop and refine advanced analysis routines to identify and characterize specific cold gas clouds in complex environments, extracting detailed thermodynamic and kinematic data not accessible through other methods.
